Golden Era is a gathering place where diversity, inclusiveness, and the rich cultural heritage of our community are embraced.
Born out of the love for the rich history of Nevada City, California, Golden Era has become a premier destination for handcrafted cocktails, premium spirits, regional wines, and award winning local craft beers.
Our location has been serving cocktails, spirits & beers since 1856 in the heart of the Gold Country. Our Brunswick Balke Collender "Record" model bar was made circa 1895 in Chicago and has been in place here since 1904.
Our handcrafted cocktails are created from house made syrups and bitters reminiscent of the "golden era" at the turn of the 20th century and prohibition styles. We offer a handcrafted soda fountain menu of non-alcoholic beverages.
Golden Era is host to a vibrant music scene. Jazz, Blues, R&B, Funk, World, and Soul are some of the weekend entertainment offerings. Weekdays are filled with single artists across multiple genres. Artists perform original, vintage classic & contemporary scores.

Steve Giardina
Steve has held executive positions in multiple healthcare organizations. Steve was responsible and participated in numerous new product innovations in Nuclear Medicine & Positron Emission Tomography (PET) over his 20+ years in healthcare technology. More recently, Steve was responsible for the establishment of over 100 Wound Healing Centers nationally with Healogics. Steve was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in June 2017. The Hill Witches of Nevada County is a documentary about a Stage 4 pancreatic cancer patient's determination to survive and the role medical cannabis plays in his continued wellbeing three years after his diagnosis. The documentary presents science-based facts from a respected Oncologist/Integrated Medical professional and the folk-knowledge on one of America's leading cannabis cultivators and healers.
